From Hua Lumphong to Ratchatawee

This walk we are going from Hua Lumphong train station to BTS Ratchatawee. We are expecting to visit places as follow;
- Bann Piboon Tham formerly known as Baan Nonthi, was a house bestowed by King Rama VI upon Chaophraya Thammathikanathibodi (Mom Rajawongse Pum Malakul), Minister of the Palace. It was probably built around 1913.
- Wat Borommaniwat was founded by Prince Mongkut prior to his coronation as king, in 1834 CE (BE 2377) under the original name Wat Borommasuk . It was intended as an counterpart to Wat Bowonniwet Vihara, in the Bang Lamphu area of Rattanakosin Island.
The temple’s murals were painted by Khrua In Khong, one of the leading artists of King Mongkut’s reign.
- Wander through Yommarat Railway curve community where most of them selling mobile street foods.
- Having coffee at PaFe, the newly coffee shop established by Princess Pra Ong Pa the daughter of current King.
Total distance will be about 5 km, so it will probably finish in less than 3 hours. Please bring 300THB for your tour guide. The refreshments along the route can be paid individually, as you see fit (some people might not wish to sample all of them, even though they are really delicious). And ... as with every other previous walk, we would like to ask to PLEASE leave home on time. When that should be, depends on where you live, but unless you live nearby, we suggest leaving AT LEAST an hour beforehand. The guide can wait for 5 minutes but then the group will leave. Also, kindly RSVP no later than 7pm the day before.
