- Sewcial and Handmade Garment Swap!Berkeley Public Library, Berkeley, CA
It's time for another sewcial and handmade clothing swap! We held our first handmade garment swap in January. It was such a success — with members sharing some truly lovely garments — that we're doing it again! So if you missed the first one, here's your chance to share some of your garments and get something new. Handmade accessories are also welcome.
As Me Made May continues, this is the perfect time to go through your closet of memades and find things you would like to pass along to another sewist. It's also a great time to meet other people who sew, discuss sewing plans, projects currently underway, or get tips on a sewing challenge you are facing.
We will also break out into small groups via geography (i.e. South Bay, SF, Berkeley, Oakland, etc.). Then you can meet other sewists in your area.
If you have any handmade garments that you would like to give to someone else, please bring them to this meetup. They could be wearable muslins or just things you made but no longer wear. Please label them with the size, pattern, and measurements (bust, waist, hip). If your garments are not take, you will need to take them back. You don't need to bring a garment to attend.
***If you'd like to bring a snack or drinks to share, please note it on this spreadsheet.***
We'll have four rounds of choosing. If you brought:
- one garment, you can participate in the first round of choosing
- two garments, you can participate in the first two rounds
- three garments, you can participate in the first three rounds.
For the fourth round, everyone can take as many garments as they want.
