Fun Friday: THE ROSES at the Drexel Theatre!

Join us as we get together for the dark-comedy-drama, THE ROSES! Benedict Cumberbatch and Olivia Colman star in this film about a couple whose marriage goes completely off-the-rails! Here’s a description, trailer and plan for this event:

DESCRIPTION: Life seems easy for picture-perfect couple Ivy and Theo: successful careers, great kids, an enviable sex life. But underneath the façade of the perfect family is a tinderbox of competition and resentments that's ignited when Theo's professional dreams come crashing down. The film is directed by Jay Roach (Austin Powers series, Meet the Parents, Bombshell) and written by Tony McNamara (Cruella, The Favourite, Poor Things). It is based on the 1981 novel The War of the Roses by Warren Adler (and looks like it should be a much funnier version of the 1989 film). The Roses stars Benedict Cumberbatch, Olivia Colman, Andy Samberg, Allison Janney and Kate McKinnon.

PLAN: Purchase your ticket for the 7:00pm showing and we’ll meet inside the lobby area between 6:30 and 6:45pm! Advance ticket purchase not required for this theater but early arrival (around 6:30pm) is advised! Also, be sure to mention you’re with the group for discounted admission! Post-movie get together at the nearby Rusty Bucket! Recommend parking between the theater and restaurant (the Brassica lot works nicely for that) so your car will be close by at the end of the night!
