Long hike: 8.5 miles total, 1200 feet gain, challenging!!!
Note: As always, we carpool from starting point. People who are able to be drivers, please comment on event site so number of drivers is known. I am always one of the car, but 2 or more cars may be needed.
Beautiful out and back hike in Willamette Nationalforests! Trail follows part of the Pacific Crest Trail, starting near Willamette pass ski resort.
After carpooling from Eugene to trailhead, we head steeply up the trail to reaching lower rosary lakes. We continue past 2 more lakes up to a saddle viewpoint. Plan is to turn around there and head back. We will eat lunch on the edge of one of the lakes, then continue back to the cars.
Bring lunch, lots of water, wear sturdy hiking boots.
