Hope all are in good spirits and health. I have been very busy at work hence come weekend and I don't get out of bed.
Now that the heat is less, and weather is much better, I am planning this trip. Truth be told, I miss mother nature the most. So, this trip is tailor made for yours truly :-) A weekend of Bliss of doing nothing!
Picture this... Cocktail in hand, looking out at the Ocean, enjoying the sound of the waves, watching the sun set. Add delicious cuisines, loads of laughter and fun conversations, and top it off with mind-blowing accommodation at a private beach resort where the beach is merely 6 steps from your room. Total bliss ;-))))
We will be going to the farthest point of the Eastern land in Thailand and also visit the beautiful bridge where 2 communities live in harmony.

Highlights of the trip
- Mouthwatering Cuisine (Best Italian food in Thailand)
Mouthwatering cuisine at 3 different restaurants offering 3 different national food. Prices are reasonable. I have tested out the Indian and the Italian restaurant many many many times ;-)))) Mexican food is very good too. I am double minded between Mexican and Thai Seafood. I consider myself a foodie and I enjoy nothing but the best.
- Fancy Accommodation
This is my go-to hotel on Koh Chang for the mere fact that my room is less than 6 steps away from my own personal cove ;-) The view of sunset is breath taking and the sound of the waves will cradle you into a deep slumber. Not to mention Kayaking in the sea ;-)
- Venture to the farthest point of the Eastern land in Thailand.

Itinerary goes like this
Fri 14/6
18:00 - Meet up at Bangkok Marriott Hotel Sukhumvit Soi 57
18:15 - On the way to Chanthaburi. Quick dinner on the way.
21:00 - Check in and retire for the night
Sat 15/6
07:30 - Tea & Coffee at the hotel and Checkout. We will get Starbucks breakfast on the way to Trat province for brief sightseeing at
1. Bridge to test your willingness and
2. the farthest point of the eastern land.
10:30 am - Arrive at the pier to catch a ferry to Koh Chang.
12:00 - Arrive at Koh Chang and head out for lunch at the Indian Restaurant.
13:30 pm - Check in. Leisure time. You can
- Swim in the pool
- Kayaking in the cove
- Explore / walking in nature around the hotel premises
- Relax in bed looking out at the sea and enjoy the sound of the waves.
17:00 - Gather at the van for a ride and sightseeing around Koh Chang Island.
18:00 - Dinner at the best Italian restaurant before retiring for the night.
21:00 - Head back to the hotel and leisure time.
Sun 16/6
07:00 am onwards - Breakfast and Leisure time on the beach
11:00 am - Check out. We will have early delicious lunch at the Thai Seafood restaurant.
13:00 pm - Head to the pier and take the ferry back to Trat.
15:00 pm - Arrive in Chanthaburi. We will walk around the old town and visit the cathedral before going for the best Italian food in Thailand.
16:30 pm - Head to the restaurant and enjoy the most delicious meal and wine.
18:00 pm - Head back to Bangkok
22:00 pm - Arrive safely in Bangkok
