Casual open play pickleball for all levels, including beginners. Equipment: You will need to purchase a paddle, or you can rent one from the front desk. We play with “outdoor” balls. Usually our group has some but it’s a good idea to bring them just in case. I highly recommend wearing a good quality court shoe and comfortable athletic wear. If you are new to pickleball or need a refresher, we typically dedicate one of the courts for learning or Experienced players help you learn the game rules and scoring. Join us on an easy-paced 4-5 mile walk through the[ Mueller neighborhood](http://www.muelleraustin.com/about/) . The route will be on flat, hard-packed trails and city sidewalks, and take us past a restored Texas blackland prairie, along the Northwest and Southwest Greenways, and **end at the [Farmers Market](https://texasfarmersmarket.org/mueller/).** Many of us will stay and visit the market - a great place to buy produce, treats, and gifts. Often we gather for lunch afterwards. **You will need to walk a half mile back to the start** on your own, or in an informal group. OK to bring a well-behaved pet on leash. If problems arise, you and your pet will need to depart from the group. Participants must sign a Liability Waiver at the trailhead. We play a wide variety of Euro-style board games, including anything new that's out there plus usual favorites. Bring your favorite game! Someone will most likely want to try it. Game Kastle has snacks and drinks, plus there is a Subway, Taco Bell, McDonald's, Pizza Hut, Wing Street and Wanfu in the shopping center. Sorry, no alcohol allowed in the store.
