We connect with each other and with nature 🌳 Listening to the rustling of leaves, feeling the texture of tree bark and learning about the subtle dances flora and fauna make in the forest 🦉 Slowing down creates **space for new observations**, for curiosity, for **connection with your surroundings**, as well as with yourself. We hope participants leave the trail with a **renewed perception of nature**, while also learning from each other and about each other. But like all mindfulness practices, simple doesn't mean easy, and the rewards are quietly profound. **🌿 What is Mindful Eating?** Mindful Eating is a form of mindfulness meditation practice that invites us to: * Slow down and engage all the senses during a meal * Notice hunger, fullness, and the body's signals with curiosity rather than judgment * Bring presence and gratitude to the act of eating * Let food become an anchor for awareness just as birdsong does on our walks This experience is also part of my requirements for my Mindfulness Meditation Teacher Certification which asks me to teach a wide range of mindfulness practices. What started with a Birdsong Walk has now grown into something more expansive. Let’s get together for a relaxed Saturday brunch! This will be the very first event for our group. Whether you’re looking to meet new friends, get out more, or just enjoy good conversation over brunch, this is the perfect place to start. We’ll be meeting at The Goat Gahanna for great food, drinks, and a welcoming, no-pressure atmosphere.

Join us for a tour of Brothers Drake Meadery in Grandview, hosted by the owner Oron Benary. He will explain the mead-making process and offer us generous samples of their fine meads. Mead is basically wine that is made from honey instead of grapes. There are many different flavors that range from dry, semi-dry, semi-sweet, to sweet. They are best known for their Apple Pie Mead. Oron has offered us a special price of 5.00 each person for the tour and tasting, which is normally 25.00 per person. I've taken the tour several times, and it's always enlightening and fun. Rebecca will bring a tea that will pair well with the mead for a tea tasting afterwards. Park anywhere around the building. Please avoid parking in front of the houses in the neighborhood behind the Meadery. Please keep your RSVP current. Knowing how many will attend will help Brothers Drake plan accordingly to accommodate us.
