We’ll explore practical water solutions — including nature-based solutions for water infiltration, retention and erosion control — and share real-life examples of how these approaches are already being implemented.

Following the talk, you'll have the opportunity to meet the people putting these solutions into practice, discover existing projects, and explore opportunities for collaboration.

🔹 2 tonnes workshop 18h-21h with Al

In 3 hours and in teams, project yourself to 2050, discover the individual and collective levers of the low-carbon transition, and identify the role you want to play in it!
In order to limit the effects of climate change, the Paris Agreement (2015) set a target: to limit the rise in temperature to below 2 degrees by the end of the century. To achieve this, we need to reduce our greenhouse gas emissions, in particular to 2 tonnes of CO2 equivalent per year per inhabitant by 2050. Today, the average French person emits 9.5 tCO2e per year. In 28 years, we need to divide our emissions by 5 to reach this target.

In this workshop we invite you to take a journey into soil. Soil has long been invisible and reduced to the simple use of support for our crops and buildings. It is only very recently that the fundamental role of soil in the balance of ecosystems has been highlighted. It is the living interface between plants and minerals, home to a quarter of known biodiversity and harbors life which is responsible for multiple vital functions, at the origin of the development of life as we know it today. Ready to take a dive?
This 3-hour workshop aims to develop a common understanding of how soils work and the stakes involved in preserving them. It is divided into three parts where you will:

1. Discover soils' richness by exploring their functioning.
2. Identify the most common farming practices and their impact on soils and the environment
3. Reflect on the actions to be taken to preserve them, from four complementary points of view (farmers, politicians, businesses, citizens)
