LIBERTARIAN PARTY OF CALIFORNIA

Last Call for
New Member Delegates

January 5, 2013 - New Member Delegate Deadline Is Today
January 5, 2013 - If you wish to be a delegate at California LP's 2013 convention but you've never joined the state Party before, you have only until TONIGHT, January 5, 2013 to join. Although anyone can reserve admission to our business sessions, meals with speakers, and Saturday evening banquet, delegates must be members in good standing any 90-day period before the convention opens on April 6, 2013, at the Hyatt Regency in Sacramento.

The rest of this message is about delegates, those members who will vote on Party business, including changes to our Platform and Bylaws, resolutions, and endorsement of candidates and legislation. All delegates must be members in good standing at the time of the convention. "Good standing" comprises three criteria:
  1. If eligible to vote in California, not registered with any political Party other than the Libertarian Party of California
  2. Your signed Non-Initiation of Force certificate on file
  3. Annual membership dues current (included with monthly pledges, waived for Libertarians currently serving in California elected office)
You can register to vote in California online atwww.registertovote.ca.gov. Remember that it takes as much as two weeks for your voter registration to be updated in the state and county's databases, so register early. Anyone wishing to serve as a delegate at the convention whose California voter registration doesn't show as "Libertarian" will be required to submit a written voter registration form prior to being granted delegate status.

Enrollment forms with the Non-Initiation of Force certificate are available for downloading and printing at
ca.lp.org/join and will also be available at the door.

The Non-Initiation of Force certificate is also included in the printable membership enrollment form at
ca.lp.org/join, as well as in the online membership enrollment form.
