Hands-on tutorial on how to turn your Jupyter notebooks into cool web demo apps. Stop wasting so much time building user interfaces to showcase your model. After all, you should be focusing on improving your model and not fighting with css frameworks. Michal will present a different approach to quickly prototype user interfaces for data science projects.

If you are tired to spend more time than necessary with flask and bootstrap, join us on this tutorial.

The schedule for the webinar is the following:

• 18:30 - 18:45: Opening the meeting
• 18:45 - 19:30: Turn your Jupyter notebooks into pretty web demos - Michal Mucha
• 19:30 - 19:45: Q&A
• 19:45: Closing

Abstract:

Learn to swiftly turn your Jupyter notebooks into pretty web apps, tailored to serve the needs of your colleagues and users. Things that look pretty and are simple to use end up being used more - use this principle to share the meaningful work you already are doing with a bigger audience.

Create a beautiful "Reception Lobby" for your work, without spending an eternity building custom front ends. Make your exploration and modeling instantly shareable and alive for any audience in your organization, leveraging the power of open source projects such as ipywidgets, Voila, traitlets, pygal, vuetify, and more.

The ability to build data science products quickly will give you new opportunities to collaborate with various audiences in your organization and contribute to the increase in the overall data literacy of everyone involved.

Short Bio:

I'm a curious tinkerer, a data scientist and engineer with a software development background. I began my data science journey studying econometrics and working on academic big data research projects in telecommunications and smart metering. I left to continue my journey freelancing and consulting. I have worked with clients in retail, transportation, finance, film, and building automation. I contributed to businesses and startups by delivering applied data science solutions that create real value through my consultancy http://create.ml.

I also provide training in data science, machine learning, and Python to institutions and individuals. My most recent projects are centered around using NLP for regulatory supervision in finance, and high performance Python implementations.

I'm a proud husband and dad, and I care about giving back to the Python community.
