Radioblast is a fun, high energy dance band playing a variety of music - rock, disco, alternative. I think the Taproom is a new location for us. Photos show a decent dance floor and they appear to have a good menu. I'll be there about 5pm to get us a table.

Hello peeps. I hope everyone is doing well during these times. Hope Works Day Shelter is a place that affords the homeless a place to shower, get clean clothes, receive mail, or just hang out if it's too cold/rainy/hot. In addition to that, they're served coffee and pastries for breakfast, and usually a hot meal for lunch. I volunteer in the kitchen, from helping to prep (cut veggies, fruits, meat) meals, to preparing the salad, gathering cookies and pre-slicing cakes for dessert, to actually portioning out the meals and serving them. I then clean the steam bar at the end of meal service.

This day shelter is opened Mon thru Fri. Mondays in particular, they are very short handed in the kitchen. Volunteering is just one of the many ways to give back to your community. Those of you that know me know I believe we are our brothers keeper, and as such should lend a helping hand whenever and whereever we can. If the kitchen is not your area, but you would love to volunteer, there are other areas.

If this seems like something you would like to do, feel free to join me. This will be opened to a small number of people as the kitchen only needs two to three others. Please feel free to come out on your own if you are truly interested in volunteering, as I stated there are other areas, and it doesn't have to be done through Meetup. So come on out, and show your community some love. ❤️ See you there..

Come join us for bowling each Monday at Silva Lanes. The goal is meeting friends, having fun and even improve your scores! The price is only $2.00/game. 😁

OUR “OFFICIAL” START TIME IS 1:00. HOWEVER, as an option, you can arrive by 12:30 for “early bowling”. This option is a courtesy to those who live further away to avoid being stuck in rush hour traffic when done bowling. I arrive at 12:30. (For this reason, I indicate a 12:30 start time as part of the general event info.) I post our lane assignments in the event comments section as soon as they are provided to me.

Rental shoes are available; all bowlers must wear bowling shoes. Upon completion of each bowlers play, please go to the front desk and pay for your games (and shoe rental).

RSVPs are appreciated, as it helps to obtain enough lanes; lane availability is on a first-come-first-serve basis. Our bowlers typically play 2-4 games.

Our bowlers appreciate using standard "bowling etiquette" practices. Thanks for being polite!

For Mondays affected by a Federal holiday, on which school is typically closed, the event date will be cancelled. (On those days, it is often difficult to obtain lanes and, especially, get lanes near each other.) This is why these event dates are skipped in the Albuquerque Singles Group Events Calendar.

I haven't been to this restaurant in DECADES. I thought it was closed. However, if there is any place in Albuquerque that screams I'M A DINER! this is it. In the old days, the waitresses would mock people who couldn't finish their meal. It was an experience.

I'm not sure of the layout so I'm setting attendance to eight. I have no idea as to cost so expect about $25 for food, beverage, tax and tip.

If you end up on the waitlist, please check the morning of the event. Many times people drop out at the last minute. If you've RSVP'd YES and your plans change, please change your RSVP to NOT GOING. That frees up a spot for someone on the waitlist.
