Come Nurture with Nature! Guided Community BEACH YOGA classes ON DELRAY BEACH with Jessica Om since 2010!
Join us for weekly All levels yoga classes on the beach & other monthly conscious events/gatherings.
The intention of this group is to have the space for individuals to come together, slow down and connect with nature, while nurturing themselves with an invigorating yoga practice that liberates stress while cultivating strength of mind & body... or to be able to simply sit on the sand and BE in loving community energy, & enjoy nature & breath, without an agenda... The practice is led/guided by Jessica Om, founder and director of SBY, artist, wanderer, movement specialist, and yoga & healing arts teacher of 17 years. SBY is occasionally paused if Jessica is away.
Asana- (yogic postures) and pranayama- (conscious/controlled breathing practice)
Vinyasa implements sequenced movements of specific postures, combined with conscious breathing, to cultivate strength, awareness, ease tension, re-energize, and relax.
WHEN:
CURRENT SCHEDULE: SUNDAYS, WEDNESDAYS, & FRIDAYS
(*Start times change by season and are scheduled to finish at sunset)
PLEASE NOTE: *Classes are weather permitting & subject to cancellation or relocation due to weather or other unforseen events. RSVP to each event and download the meetup app to receive instant important notifications.
WHERE: The home of SBY is located on the beach to the right of the Atlantic Dunes park beach in Delray Beach. Parking is in the paid public city lots (via park mobile app) or free parking across the Linton bridge in the Trader Joe's parking lot (also for overflow if need be)
WHAT TO BRING:
- A yoga mat (optional) *LARGE sheet or tapestry for under mat is suggested
- Water
- Friends & family! All ages welcome.

SBY is a very casual no-pressure environment, many come new to a yoga practice. It's a great place to make new friends and meet really wonderful people.

SBY Classes and events are directed by Jessica Om. (If Jessica is traveling, other local skilled teachers will lead class in her place. On rare occasions, a class may be cancelled)

WHAT are SBY classes like? - A guided nurturing flow through the body that implements vinyasa & yin yoga elements (sequenced movements paired with conscious breath with some longer holds of poses encouraging deep meditative focus) with intention on cultivating strength, balance, flexibility, liberating physical tension and energetic stagnation, promoting awareness, and fluidity in the body/mind, producing an overall feeling of peace, clarity, relaxation, and illumination.
Classes are approximately 75-90min; Including a supine (lying down) meditation (savasana.)
What to BRING: A yoga mat or large sheet/blanket. The best set up is to place a large sheet or tapestry on the sand and place your mat on top of it. This allows for a much larger range of practice space without sand getting on your mat.
ALL LEVELS AND AGES ARE WELCOME.
The practice is held ON the beach unless otherwise notified.

There are 2 paid lots for the beach across the street (Park Mobile app)
Some people still opt to park over the Linton Bridge in the Trader Joe's Plaza during the height of season. Keep in mind that there is a walk over the bridge to get to the park/beach if you choose this option.
Also note: If you're ever running late, please do not worry, we start on island time, so there's really no such thing as "late"... Whenever you join us is the right time :)
