We all have a wish to be free — free from stress, anxiety, frustration and heavy-heartedness — and to enjoy a more peaceful and flexible mind.
According to Buddha, this freedom is not something we have to search for outside ourself, but something we discover by changing our mind from within. So it is closer than we think! When we learn strategies to let go of unhelpful thoughts and painful habits of mind, our natural peace begins to appear.
In this four-week course, we will explore practical Buddhist methods and meditations for learning to let go: letting go of worry, letting go of self-criticism, letting go of grasping at our own way, and letting go of the painful mental habits that keep us stuck. In this way we begin to taste the inner freedom that comes from a more spacious, peaceful and compassionate mind.
You will learn:
• How your mind creates stress and how meditation restores inner calm
• Gentle methods to release rumination, resentment and overthinking
• How to respond to difficulties with clarity and kindness rather than tension or conflict
• How letting go allows your natural inner peace and happiness to grow
Each class includes guided meditation, practical Buddhist teachings, and time for questions.
This course is perfect for beginners as well as anyone wishing to refresh or deepen their meditation practice.
Everyone is warmly welcome.
