We're sifting for a UX Director at RAPP in LA.
As Director, Experience Design you’ll be integral to the agency, and play pivotal roles in the strategy, conception and design of platforms that transform people’s relationships with brands. You will help shape and drive our user experience design practice through the agency, nurturing talent and championing world-class solutions that deliver new value to our clients and their customers. You will be joining a human-centered design practice that rallies with other disciplines to develop brand services, digital platforms and experiences that launch people’s relationships with brands into the future.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead multi-disciplinary teams to create best-in-class user experiences. You will listen to teammates across departments, anticipate needs and inspire possibilities that combine innovation with usability.
  • Apply user-centered design methods to connect business objectives and technology possibilities with human needs. Help define business opportunities and translate insights into consumer-facing design.
  • Create and/or gather business requirements for projects by conducting interviews or work sessions with client stakeholders.
  • Conduct holistic audits and reviews of current platforms and products that need to be redesigned. Conduct competitive and best-in-class audits for presentation to clients.
  • Define experience strategies and concept models, user interfaces, and design schematics across digital environments from web to mobile.
  • Collaborate with marketing sciences to use analytics for insight and inspiration, and ensure measurable outcomes.
  • Help shape and lead the UX department, train, manage and mentor other experience designers, and contribute to business development.


SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • 7 - 10+ years of experience in User Experience or related fields, including 3-5 years managing a team or direct reports in the discipline.
  • Experience leading the design of large, complex systems of interactions and an ability to effectively communicate and present complex solutions to both internal and client stakeholders.
  • Understanding of the types of experiences and cross-channel architectures that are made possible by current and emerging digital technologies.
  • Proven ability to deliver business outcomes through improving the experience that customers have with a product or service, such as: adoption, growth, revenue and retention.
  • Knowledge of cross-browser, cross-platform, cross-device implementation techniques, including but not limited to mobile (native & web), responsive frameworks, etc.
  • Highly skilled at managing and developing IA/UX deliverables including: site maps, annotated wireframes, process flows, functional requirements and UX QA.
  • A passion for user-centered design, and strong conviction that your work is central to agency innovation.
  • Demonstrated thought-leadership in at least one of the following domains is a plus: product design, commerce, mobile, branding, retail, and social media.
  • Experience in Automotive, Financial and/or Media preferred.
