Hi Tom,
When you talk to the rangers, could you ask them about the status of the 19 mile brook trail out from Carter Notch? That's my main concern regarding a hike of the Wildcats. Also, it may be a good idea to see how far up 302 we can actually drive. May open up a couple more potential hikes if we can get to the davis path trailhead. I think that's south of fourth iron...
