Untangle February
Details
Hey everyone,
We're back for another meetup Monday the 23rd at Campus as usual. Expect three great speakers, beer, pizza and socialising.
Jacob Thompson with There and Back Again
A talk about tackling imposter syndrome, and then letting it win again, and then tackling it some more. Beautiful teenage prodigy Jacob Thompson says some words to make you feel better for your experience-lacking-mistaken-for inadequacy. There and Back Again originated as a play, completed by Jacob Thompson in 2014. Thompson then adapted the play into a 500-page book, which he was unable to get published. Frustrated, Thompson decided to adapt the work into a talk.

Ross Mackay with React basics
Love it or hate it - Facebook's React framework is only getting more and more popular. React was designed for managing complex UI's and I'll be giving you a run-down of exactly how to get started building isomorphic single page webapps.

Matthew Revell with I have a NoSQL toaster, why would I want a NoSQL database?
There’s a whole new breed of databases that are increasingly used by web and mobile developers. They promise scale, speed, flexibility and more. In this talk I’ll cover what these NoSQL databases are all about, including a quick look at the different types and when you might want to use them.
