"Shen" can be translated as "Spirit, god, angel or spiritual essence". Chi is the power of the body and Shen is the heavenly essence of Chi. The origins of the word "Shen" also suggest the power of lightning. So, "Shen Tao" can be translated as "The Way of Heavenly Charged Spiritual Power". The Shen Tao arts are derived from the Ancient Shang Ch'ing Taoist methods of Enlightenment as well Personal Transformation and Healing. Shen Tao is a "Heaven to Earth" method of spiritual enlightenment and healing. Which means that these methods and techniques directly access the powers of Heaven for immediate and powerful healing and spiritual transformations. Many other energetic methods of Enlightenment are "Earth to Heaven" methods which are much slower and demand much time and discipline to achieve any results. Shen Tao acts as a "Quantum Accelerator" to dynamically accelerate the power of any meditative or spiritual discipline.
