What book/s would you include on a list of '1000 books to read before you die?'

Powell's 'A Dance to the Music of Time' cycle, Camus's 'L'Etranger', Plath's 'The Bell Jar', Eliot's 'Middlemarch', Other Eliot's 'Four Quartets', Fitzgerald's 'The Great Gatsby', Carr's 'A Month in the Country', Hartley's 'The Go-Between', Amis's 'Lucky Jim', Fowles's 'The Magus', Alain-Fournier's 'Le Grand Meaulnes', Burgess's 'A Clockwork Orange', Murakami's 'South of the Border West of the Sun', Kerouac's 'On the Road', Carver's 'What We Talk About When We Talk About Love' and a whole load of others, to include some Marquez, Coetzee, Roth, Updike, Tolstoy, Waugh, Sartre, Proust, Hemingway, Helprin, Dostoevsky, Yates, Neruda and William Trevor. Reckon that would still probably leave me a few hundred short though, so... Keen to discover more!

Where do you live in London?

Battersea

Our group meets monthly, on the second Tuesday of each month. How often do you intend to come along?

As often as I can

Introduction

Hi. I'm Charlie, 33, and love my books - never done something like this before, but saw your group and Chiswick's not a million miles away from me, so... Hope to meet some of you soon!
