I'm a new pilot and recently bought a plane. My home airport is Sacramento Executive (KSAC). I want to meet other pilots and fly to new places.
Locally (California), I'd like to check out Shelter Cove (0Q5) and Georgetown (E36). I know it would take some planning but I'd love to fly into Gonzaga Bay, Alfonsina's, in Baja California! I would need to share expenses (and PIC time of course) with another pilot.
1965 Cessna 172. Her name is "Kitty Hawk". I also call her "Miss Kitty" or just "Kat".
I don't have kids to put through college and needed to do something with the money I earn ;-) I've always wanted to fly so that is where I decided to spend it!
Right after I got my license, I took a mountain flying course in Colorado. Up until then, all my time was spent flying over the flat terrain of the Northern California central valley. Flying over my first mountain pass was fantastic! Flying through a canyon and looking out the window to see the earth (a canyon wall) next to the plane instead of below it seemed, well, just weird!
Hi! I'm looking forward to meeting everyone!
