New Meetup: It's Spring! Time to come out of our caves and eat!

Announcing a new Meetup for The $100 Hamburger Fly In (Pilots from ANYWHERE welcome!)!

What: It's Spring! Time to come out of our caves and eat!

When: Saturday, April 3,[masked]:30 AM

Harris Ranch
24505 West Dorris Ave.
Coalinga, CA 93210

Rico Sharqawi has organized a fly-in to Harris Ranch. My stomach is growling already. Of course, that could be because I haven't eaten in days.

From Rico:
There will likely be a second fly-in on the 11th, as well. Once that is set up I will add the meetup to the group.

If possible, please ping me or post here and let us know if you can safely take any passengers with you and what airport you'll be launching from. Rico will be working with the folks at the restaurant tomorrow to sort out reservations for the group on the 3rd.

More details to come, for now, the tentative date for this fly-in is Sat April 3rd. Hopefully we catch a nice VFR day with mild temperatures. If you have not flown into Harris Ranch before, just be aware of the runway dimensions and potential for density altitude.

This link provides information about flying into Harris Ranch airport courtesy of Frank Holbert:

Also, more detailed information about the airport is located here:

If you are flying there and willing and can take passengers with you either from the Bay Area or from SoCal, please let us know. A few non pilots have expressed interest in joining this fly-in. It would be a great way to share a fun event with non pilots and demonstrate first hand the great utility of General Aviation ;) Of course, feel free to forward this invite!!

As more details become available, we'll post here.
