NJ Swing 2012 Kick-off Doubleheader-Part 2 w/M.Jagger Wkshps & live music party!

World-renowned award-winning Michael Jagger is back for a second evening of Swing/Lindy Hop workshops. This time there will be a 3-hour dance party featuring NYC's The Grand Street Stompers lead by Gordon Au. This is the second night of a Swing/Lindy Hop Doubleheader (see 1/13 event posting).

6:50 - 8:00 p.m. Swing/Lindy Syncopation and Styling - (Prerequisite: solid knowledge of 6- and 8-count Swing / Lindy Hop patterns. If you cannot make it until 7, still join us!). Add rhythmic variety to steps you already know. Michael offers fun yet challenging footwork variations for your social dancing, to make you stand out on the dance floor!

8:00 - 9:10 p.m. Swing/Lindy 6 & 8-count Fundamentals (No experience needed. If leads or follows are needed, students from 6:50 class are encouraged to attend as our guests.) Learn new or review core 6- and 8-count Swing/Lindy Hop, Michael Jagger-style. This more in-depth workshop will replace our 6-count East Coast Swing Basics lesson for this dance event. For those already with some Swing experience, covering 8-count is a big plus, and Michael will build variations within the 6-count.

DANCE PARTY:
9:00 - 12:00 featuring LIVE MUSIC by The Grand Street Stompers from NYC (lead by Gordon Au) on our huge chandelier-lit wood ballroom floor. Complimentary light food and refreshments.

Dance Party with The Grand Street Stompers (9:00-12): $20 ($17 if prepaying with 1/20 workshops or w/ID Discount)

Michael Jagger, award-winning and internationally-highly-sought-after instructor from NYC, has performed as a principle Lindy Hop dancer with Wynton Marsalis at the Kennedy Center, on three seasons of TV's "So You Think You Can Dance", and in the Broadway show "SWING!".
