Hello Pub Girls! Welcome to the group. We are a laid back crowd of women who enjoy good company and friendly conversation. Most of our meetups occur in the local bars, but we actually participate in a wide range of activities. Variety is the spice of life, right?! Although our activities generally appeal to women in their 20s and 30s, we do NOT turn people away because of their age! Women of all ages are welcome to hang out with us.  Heck, you don't even have to like beer.  Although, what's not to like?  ;o)

This meetup group is member owned and operated.  In other words....we are all organizers!!  Everyone is granted the freedom to post events as they see fit.  Whether you're interested in hiking, volunteering for a local non-profit organization, having dinner or enjoying a beer after work, We highly encourage you to make events based on your own interests.  We’d love to join your events and we'd love for you to join ours!  If organizing isn't your thing - that's fine too.  If you have some good suggestions for events, send me an email and I'll be happy to incorporate your ideas into our calendar.  

To help cover the costs of running the group ($144/year), we ask that all members pay a one-time $2 joining fee through PayPal or Amazon Payments.  You don't have to pay it right away...feel free to attend a few events first to make sure we're worth 2 bucks.  :o)  I'll ask that you pay within 3 months of joining our group.  Any funds collected will be tracked and reported in the "group tools" section of our Meetup page.  

The Rules:

Naturally, we have just a few guidelines to go by in order to maintain a well running group.  Don't worry...none of our rules are difficult to follow.  :o)

Be Courteous...and NO DRAMA!!

Please remember that we all joined this group to make friends and to explore what the Raleigh/Durham area has to offer.  We want you to feel welcome to our group...and in return - please be welcoming to the other members as well!  This means no drama, meanness, excessive tardiness (especially when you're the organizer), etc.  I am proud to say that everyone in this group is super nice....thank you for helping me keep it that way!

Events must be appropriate

Any type of event is welcome on our calendar.  Not everything needs to take place in a bar or restaurant!  Feel free to schedule a movie, walk, or other type of outing.  You're welcome to run ideas past me if you're worried that an event may not be suitable for the group.  Really, I don't expect this to happen.  However, if I get complaints from other group members, I'll contact the organizer of the event and discuss how to modify the event or ask that it be removed from the calendar.  

No Show Policy

If you are attending another person's event:  We operate on a "3 strikes" policy for No Shows.  If you RSVP "Yes" for an event and do not show up, this counts as a No Show.  If you change your RSVP from "Yes" to "No" within 24hrs of an event, the organizer has the right to consider this a No Show.  3 No Show's and you could be removed from the group.  Of course we understand that sometimes stuff happens and you have to cancel at the last minute.  This won't count against you as long as you contact the organizer ASAP.  We're not mean...we just don't like to drink alone.  :oD

If you fail to show up to an event you have created: Unless you have a good reason why, we will remove your rights to organize for the group or remove you from the group all together.
