Ultimate Pub Crawl - Part III - SOMA & AT&T Park

Details

Our last pub crawl was so much fun that I've decided to schedule another one on February 22nd. This time we're crawling through the SOMA district. We'll be checking out some of the best places to visit during baseball season as well as fun lounges and bars. Please note that the crawl isn't so much about drinking as it is about seeing and learning about new places and meeting new people!

IMPORTANT NOTICE: While our first two pub crawls were free to attend I've decided to charge for this one. I decided this due to the fact that our numbers continue to grow and I'd like to keep it manageable (for now) and have just enough attendees that we don't blow out the bars and everyone can still have fun. With that said I've put a limit on how many tickets will be sold and while that number is far from low, I suggest purchasing your ticket asap. Once you arrive at Pedro's you'll receive a wristband which will get you drink specials at most of the bars that we're visiting (I'll have those details available on the day of the crawl). I also ask that you don't just show up without purchasing a ticket as it makes my life difficult and takes away from the point of charging. The ticket is priced at $15 currently but if you use the code letscrawl you'll receive $5 off. Please get your ticket HERE (http://pubcrawlp3.eventbrite.com/) and I'm giving a portion of ticket sales to help support the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. (http://www.cff.org/)

About Cystic Fibrosis and the Foundation:

Cystic fibrosis is a devastating genetic disease that affects the lungs and digestive system. More than ten million Americans are symptomless carriers of the defective CF gene. Advances continue to be made in finding a cure, but your help is needed now -- more than ever -- to help keep up the momentum of this life-saving research. When the Foundation began in 1955, most children with CF did not live to see their first day of elementary school. Today, the median predicted age of survival for a person with CF is in the mid-30s. This is remarkable progress, but not good enough. We continue to lose precious lives to CF every day. To learn more about CF and the CF Foundation, visit www.cff.org.

Keep in mind we don't grab a drink @ every location and how long we stay ranges from a quick walk-through to drinks and dinner depending on the bar's capacity and comfort.

As always, each of these locations are known for something different and each provide a fun atmosphere to meet new people or bring a friend.

Purchase your ticket HERE (http://pubcrawlp3.eventbrite.com/). Use discount code letscrawl for $5 off.

The walk is exactly 1 mile and is our shortest yet (by more than half!) and consists of only 20 minutes of total walking time. We're going to be visiting a total of 15 different bars and lounges. I'm planning on spending anywhere from 5-30 minutes in each location depending on if we're just checking it out or grabbing a drink.

Dress Code: Feel free to dress casually. We shouldn't be visiting any venues with a dress code but District and a few of the places are on the nicer end... Dress comfortable and don't forget to dress warm as it'll be colder near the water!

Parking: The crawl kicks off at Pedro's Cantina and while there isn't a TON of street parking, it shouldn't be difficult to find a metered spot (FREE after 6pm, but always check). The area is also accessible by MUNI and bus. Please respect the signs and use ParkMe.com (http://www.parkme.com/) if you want to find more parking options.

21st Amendment Brewery: (http://21st-amendment.com/) 21st Amendment is a local brewery that produces some awesome beers. The month of February is their 'strong beer month' in which they beers with a higher alcohol %. It's an awesome brewery-like atmosphere that is fun to hangout at after work or catch a sports game at.

OZone Thai Lounge: (http://ozonethai.org/) OZone is a Thai restaurant with an awesome little patio outside and a very attractive happy hour. It's a very popular stop during baseball season!

Zeke's Dive Bar: (https://plus.google.com/110526532876816801872/about?gl=us&hl=en) Zeke's is a small sports bar that uses the pool table as an actual table more than as a pool table. It has several TVs and is quite 'divey' but always a fun experience.

Twenty Five Lusk: (http://www.25lusk.com/) Lusk is a beautiful lounge that features lounge space downstairs and dinner space upstairs. It's a perfect date spot and features awesome cocktails and wine.

District: (http://districtsf.com/) District is a fun and classy bar that features plenty of lounge space and a good wine and beer selection. They also have awesome appetizers and is a fun spot to hit after work with a co-worker or two.

Nova: (http://www.novabar.com/) Nova is a simple little bar that is located next to 21st amendment, provides a fun little atmosphere, and is a fun spot to check out on game days!

Paragon Restaurant & Bar: (http://paragonrestaurant.com/) Paragon is a bit more of a restaurant than a bar but it's a nice place to grab a bite if you're in the area. There is a heated outdoor patio and it's usually buzzing with locals grabbing dinner and drinks after work.

Alchemist Bar & Lounge: (http://alchemistsf.com/) Alchemist is one of my most favorite secret gems in SF. It is an upstairs loft space that has been converted into an awesome little lounge and features tons of standing space and an 'alchemy' theme.

Lucky Strike Bowling Alley: (http://www.bowlluckystrike.com/locations/california/san-francisco/) Lucky Strike is an awesome bowling alley/bar. It features glow bowl and a hip atmosphere that is a great environment for groups of friends.

Public House @ The Ball Park: (http://www.publichousesf.com/) Public house is literally attached to the stadium and is a fun bar to watch baseball games (when they're away). It features a good array of beers for a reasonable price. During games you can enter the bar from the stadium, purchase quality beers (Racer 5 and whatnot) for about $7 and take it back into the stadium with you. I usually double fist it around 4th inning when the bar rush has died down.

Pete's Tavern: (http://petestavernsf.com/) Pete's Tavern is right next door to Pedro's Cantina and is actually connected inside. The tavern has several TVs, a circular bar, and upstairs seating. The bar has lots of fun little games that you can borrow such as dominos and liars dice.

Pedro's Cantina: (http://pedroscantina.com/) Pedro's Cantina is a large bar that has good food options and a long bar. With tons of seating around the bar and some fun games in the back it provides a lively atmosphere for larger groups and is located right across from AT&T park.

MoMo's: (http://sfmomos.com/) MoMo's is a great lunch spot with indoor and outdoor seated. Located across from AT&T Park it's one of the most popular spots to grab a drink before the game.

Tres: (http://tressf.com/) Tres is a cool tequila bar and restaurant that features an awesome tequila selection. They feature traditional dishes from Jaliscan, Mexico.
