Annual Beach Day - Bring Your Volleyball!

Summer, summer, summertime. Let's get ready to get in our bikinis and board-shorts (speedos for the Europeans) and enjoy the LA summer heat on the beach! This year the event is on Saturday, August 10th starting at 1PM. We will have muchies, drinks and games. For those that are into volleyball, let's repeat what we did last year. I saw a lot of losers, I mean winners. lol. Let's enjoy a few good volleyball game.

Every year I break my little piggy bank bringing food, drinks and everything else. This year, I am gonna get everyone to help share the cost. $5 for the event. I will provide drinks, chips and other yummies.

Now, grab you beach chair and umbrella, slap on some sunscreen and get ready for a day in the sun with a lot of fun people!!!!

I will update the location as the event nears (it will be the same location as last year but for those that don't know where that is, I will send out a map and update the event with the info).

Hi Everyone,

This is Anna, the organizer. I look forward to meeting you this afternoon at Will Roger's State Beach for the 7th annual beach event (17000 E Pacific Coast Hwy, LA, CA 90272). Our event begins at 1PM - let's have some fun and make some friends.

Some quick housekeeping items:

1. Please bring $5 cash for the event.

2. Please bring $10-$15 cash for parking.

3. Direction: Once you enter Will Roger's State Beach, turn Left (and travel south).

a. You will travel south for over an mile. In case you forget how to tell what direction is south, the ocean should be on your RIGHT HAND side! b. Drive to the very end of the parking lot. Peak over the fence, look for the first set of volleyball net. We should be there near the ocean.

4. Bring your sunscreen, towel to lay down on, food, and drinks. 5. Bring your volleyball, soccer game, game face and a fun attitude. :)

Hi Everyone,

This is Anna, your happy organizer. Please try to carpool with your new friends! I believe parking cost around $12 so carpool to save some $$$.

I will send this info again but on the day of the event, once you enter Will Roger State Beach, travel SOUTH for about an mile to the end of the parking lot. THIS MEANS the ocean is on your RIGHT HAND side when you drive! Last year, about 50 people ended up partying by themselves on the north end while 150 of us played volleyball, tanned, boogie-board, on the south side. So, remember, drive to the end of the parking lot (about an mile). The ocean should be on your RIGHT hand side!!!!

You should find us at the end of the first set of volleyball net. :) See you on Saturday. Also, please have $5 to help cover the food and drinks I will bring (chips, cookies, fruit, water, soda, etc). Feel free to bring some stuff to share. Also, bring your volley ball, soccer ball, or Frisbee!
