Charity Happy Hour at Guarapo!

UPDATE #3: Drink specials are $4 Corona Lights, $5 20s & 30s Superstar drinks, and $6 house wine until 8pm!

UPDATE #2: Per my email, I need volunteers to help sign people in with name tags and to meet / greet folks! This is a great way to meet people, and help kick start a friendly vibe to the event. I need volunteers to fill 30 minute slots (which goes by very fast) on the hour. If you can help, please send me an email letting me know which top three time slots you prefer (in order of preference)!

Our happy hour will benefit Leukemia & Lymphoma Society... www.lls.org... the world's largest voluntary health agency dedicated to finding a cure for leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families... suggested $10 donation. Please note 80% of donations go to Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and 20% of donations will go to the 20s & 30s Going Out Group to cover Meetup fees and expenses.

DJ Saam will be spinning loungy groovy beats for us. Our happy hours typically bring out 150 - 200 folks... and I wouldn't be surprised with a similar turnout this time around.

If you haven't been there before, Guarapo is a sleek lounge with international flair, hookah pipes, and "guarapo" (meaning sugarcane juice) cocktails, for which the place is named after! 21+

To help continue the friendly tone of this group... I'd like to again encourage each person to have a GOAL OF MEETING 3 NEW PEOPLE at this event. To help do this, for an icebreaker, we'll put your name in a jar as you walk in, and then give you someone else's name from the jar. Metro and Parking

Closest Metro is Courthouse (Orange line), just 2 stops outside of DC, I suggest Metro / cabbing it (especially during rush hour). I also recommend using wmata.com (http://www.wmata.com) for travel plans. Don't forget to account for Metro, traffic, and parking delays. If you are driving, you will need to find street parking or a garage.
