UPDATE #6: Also, just a reminder, when you check-in, your RSVP will be listed under the name of the Paypal or credit card account used to make payment. Typically, this is your LEGAL name as shown on your driver's license. Sometimes, it may be under a company name if you set up your Paypal or credit card account that way. If you are not sure what it is, please take a moment to log into your Paypal account (it will say "Welcome, [your account name]" at the top) or your credit card account to find out. If you don't know it, or you give the wrong name, you will not be able to get in! If you are RSVP'd under someone else's payment, please use that name for check-in. UPDATE #5: A couple of notes about Barcode, as with most clubs... this place has a serious sound system. That means it WILL be loud. The best time to talk and meet people will be between 9 - 11pm when we have the place mostly to ourselves. After that, it's pretty much time to, yes, party! Also, keep in mind it is a club, so it WILL be crowded. And while we have our own line, with the large number of people coming out, logistically it may take 10 - 15 minutes for them to get us all in. So please have your ID out and ready. Come on out, and let's let loose with a night of Halloween dancing, music, drinks, and fun!
UPDATE #4: Don't forget (as mentioned in the event posting), please make sure to arrive before 11:30pm. After that, since it IS Halloween night, if we are late, we will each need to pay an ADDITIONAL $20 to get in (the regular cover charge).
UPDATE #3: Drink specials include $5 Coronas, $6 "20s & 30s Spooky" drink, and $6 Sex-on-the-beach shooters until midnight!

UPDATE #1: There are 25 early bird spots left and the price will increase from $10 to $15 when the early bird spots are gone or by Sun. Oct. 26th (whichever comes first). To be fair to those who want to join in and are ready to make payment, I'll be removing those that haven't paid by Sun. Oct. 19th. So make payment to truly lock in your spot (see the "Payment Instructions" section of the event posting). If you've already made payment, the Paypal email you received is confirmation that we've received your payment (no need to email me asking for ticket confirmation). I hope to see you there!

Okay my kiddies, it's time. I don't know about you, but Halloweeeen is my favorite time of year! So let's all pick out our scariest, sexiest, funniest, craziest costumes, and mix / mingle together for some fun, dancing, drinks, and spooky times, what say you?

I'm not sure how I swung it, but I've reserved the venue at Barcode for our group! The floors are creaky, and I've heard the place is haunted (ok not really, but it added to the writeup, didn't it?) Cover is normally $20, but that is INCLUDED in our ticket price (until 11:30pm)! Not only that:
• We get OPEN BAR from 9 - 10pm
• We also get drink specials after open bar
• We get Meetup wristbands and glow bracelets
• We'll have a costume contest and winners get a $75 bar tab
• We'll have Halloween goodies, candies, and treats

What's a costume party without a Best Costume Contest! We will be judging the best costume in three categories at 10:30pm: Scariest, Prettiest, and Most Creative. The winner from each category will receive a $75 bar tab for the rest of the night! When planning your costume, keep in mind it is a club and it will be crowded... so I highly recommend against wearing any of those over-the-top LARGE costumes. Looking forward to seeing what you come up with!

For those that haven't been there before, Barcode is a luxurious and modern rendition of the ‘supper club’ and boasts a forty-five foot long bar lined with TV monitors; high tables with stool seating; elongated booths; a dining area; and a lounge with couches and projectors. 21+
As usual, I encourage everyone to have a goal of scaring, I mean, meeting 3 new people. So tell a friend, come on out, and let's let loose with a night of Halloween dancing, music, drinks, and fun!... and 20s & 30s Rockstars, please help make all the newcomers feel welcome to our group!

We've got an early bird special for this event of $10, yup $10! The first 150 paid sign-ups, or those who pay before Sun. Oct. 26th (whichever comes first) get the early bird price! After that it will go up to $15. We have a LIMITED number of spots so make sure to RSVP early AND make payment to secure your spot and get the early bird price! To make payment, please follow the steps in the "Payment Instructions" section of the event posting.
Also please know that your RSVP is not guaranteed unless we receive payment. When you pay, your online receipt is confirmation that we have received your payment.
Dress code includes costumes, did I mention costumes?... just to be clear, costumes.

Metro and Parking
The closest Metro is Farragut North (Red line). I suggest Metro / cabbing if you can. I also recommend using wmata.com (http://www.wmata.com) for travel planning. Don't forget to account for Metro and traffic delays. If you are driving, you will need to find street parking or a garage.
Payment Instructions (Paypal account not required):
Please follow the instructions below for making payment (if payment by smartphone doesn't work, please try your computer). Payment at the door will be permitted only should the event not sell out. Most of our events do sell out, so we recommend you secure your spot online early. If you make payment for less than the current ticketed price displayed without prior correspondence, your RSVP will be removed.

Event Check-in
We will have a master list of all those that have paid. It’s not required, but I recommend printing out your payment confirmation as a backup. Refund Policy
Since we paid in advance for this event, all sales are final unless the event is canceled or rescheduled. If the event is canceled, you will receive a full refund. If the event is rescheduled, an UPDATE will be posted at the top of the event posting, and the UPDATE will also be sent as an email to the yes RSVPs. A full refund will be given to those that let us know within 3 calendar days of the UPDATE email if you are unable to make the new date. No refunds will be given after that time. Thanks for understanding. =)
Ticket Resell
Similar to a concert ticket or a football game ticket, you are free to sell your ticket to someone else if you are unable to attend. I suggest posting in the comment box for the event, that you have a ticket for sale. Work out payment between yourselves, and have the seller only send the organizer a "message" through their Meetup profile (do not comment in the comment box of the event posting) letting us know the full name and Meetup profile URL (if a member) of the person taking your spot. You must let us know by the RSVP close time of 6pm on the day of the event.
Special Needs
If you have any special needs (e.g. wheelchair, dietary for events with food included, etc.), let us know in advance (a week or more before the event) and we will do our best to accommodate. If you let us know the day of the event, we cannot guarantee that we will be able to accommodate. Thank you for understanding and we appreciate the courtesy of a heads up!
