A weekend of recreating and rejuvenating amongst friends. With views of the piney woods and lake, enjoy the open to nature feel of a screened shelter. Experience the soft rolling hills and towering pines of East Texas. http://photos2.meetupstatic.com/photos/event/7/a/f/a/event_88711482.jpeg
In the center of the park is a beautiful 64 acre lake that offers great fishing and a picturesque view. The park offers lighted fishing piers, a boat ramp, designated swimming area with a diving deck, great mountain biking and hiking trails, picnic areas, and a playground. http://photos2.meetupstatic.com/photos/event/8/0/f/e/event_88713022.jpeg
I have set up and interpretative hike of the Whispering Pines Nature Trail. The park comes alive on the trail with wildlife observation, beautiful flora and fauna, and a trickling stream beside you.

I’ve got plenty of chairs, lanterns, and wood to keep camp comfortable. Let me know if you need anything else.
Boat, paddle boat, and canoe rentals are available for a fee through the park. If you’d like to fish but don’t have a pole or tackle this can be provided with advance notice.
We will be camping in the screened shelters by the lake. This area has electric, water, standard bathrooms, and showers.
