HAPPY NEW YEAR!!
This will be Open 3D Community's first 3d printing conference of the new year! We have four guest speakers lined up this month. There will be a live radio broadcast, an informative "how to" seminar and much more! The conference is FREE but we will be accepting donations (donations are to be given to David Capito, Acting Treasurer of Open3DC.org)
PRESENTATIONS:
12 NOON LIVE RADIO BROADCAST of the 3D Printer Series from “Tech Talk with Craig” as heard on AM1150 KKNW in Seattle. Craig will be broadcasting live from the Open 3DC Conference on location at Startup Hall. Craig Walker is Acting VP on the Board of Open 3DC. He is the Community Mayor for 3D Hubs Seattle. Craig's goal is to educate the masses on the impact that 3D Printing is having on all of us. He's also the owner of Coho3D.com. You can listen to all of Craig's shows at hightechradio.net.
1 PM LIVE 3D PRINTING DEMO AND TRAINING SEMINAR presented by Matt Johnson of intentional3D. Matt will be doing a live demonstration of the 3D printing process from start to finish on a Makerbot Desktop 3D printer. He will discuss and demonstrate 3D printing processes and pipelines as well as demo some helpful 3D modeling software applications. intentional3D Inc. is a Seattle-based sales, training, design and consulting services company focused on the 3D printing industry.
2 PM HIGHLY CONDUCTIVE 3D FILAMENT PRESENTATION by Michael Toutonghi. Michael Toutonghi will talk about his highly conductive 3D filament project. YES, it can print a circuit board and more.
2:30 PM LEAPFROG DESKTOP 3D PRINTERS Presentation. Brandon Davis, CEO, Leapfrog 3D Printers America Division. Brandon Davis will talk about Leapfrog 3D Printer's commitment to education in 3D Printing.
3 PM Show and Tell/Discussions/Breakout Session/Socializing and Snacks
Throughout the event we will have live demonstrations of various desktop 3D printers in action. Many printers will be on display including the Airworlf HDX, Leapfrog Creatr Dual-Extruder, Flying Skydelta Pride, Makerbot Replicator 2, and Replicator 5th generation!
