I wanted to walk to the bandshell from Forest Hills, and got lost to find the Park, & meeting place. It took me nearly 1 1/2 hrs to get there ! and of course was too late to meet up with you all. so walked in the park near the pond and relaxed
so sorry I was not able to meet up with the group.

What a beautiful park! I lived less than 6 miles from the park and go to Trader Joe's (just a few blocks away!) regularly. Never knew the park was there. The hike was awesome. Thanks again for organizing it!

@michael. The nearest J train stop id Woodhaven Blvd. From there take Q11, Q21 or Q52 and get off at Forest Park Drive. These buses also stop at A train Woodhaven stop.

I am driving from Williamsburg, if anyone is in the area and would like a ride.

If you lookup "George Seuffert Sr. Bandshell, Forest Park Drive, Queens, NY" on the Google Map, it pinpoints it on the map. It looks like you can take the Q52 or Q53 bus down Woodhaven Blvd from the R subway stop on Queens Blvd. Get off at Myrtle and the Google map shows you how to find the bandshell from there. Looking at the bus map on the internet, it's hard to tell if the Q52 makes it all the way up to Queens Blvd.

Yes Bill Q52 stops at Queens Blvd. In front of the Queens Center mall. Q52 is local and stops at Myrtle AVE...

For those driving, there is a large parking lot just North of the bandshell. Bill, thanks for the Google Maps suggestion. It is quite accurate.

  • Theresa

I will be driving, so please keep me posted.

    Thanks!

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
