Walk around Astoria

We'll spend around 30 minutes checking out the park and getting to know each other. Afterwards we'll walk around Astoria following this route: https://goo.gl/maps/YyeZn

If you've never been to Astoria, this is the perfect opportunity to really see it as we'll be walking down some major streets including Steinway and Ditmars + we'll be walking along Shore Blvd (http://goo.gl/maps/TYRyv) next to Astoria Park which has amazing views of Hell Gate Bridge, Robert F. Kennedy Bridge, Randall's Island, the East River and New York City. Like really, really amazing! If you live in Astoria and/or you've been to all these places as I have umpteen times you'll come to see them all again. For those who haven't, you're in for a treat.

When all is said and done, we'll kick back, relax and get our snack and drink on at Katch Brewery and Grill (http://katchastoria.com/) located at 31-19 Newtown Ave, Astoria, NY 11102

The pace of this walk will be easy-going. The total distance is 4.8 miles and it should take approximately 3 hours to complete. If you do not wish to walk all 4.8 miles, please feel free to break away at any time.

If you do not want to walk with us you can just meet us at Katch Brewery and Grill (http://katchastoria.com/) after 5pm.

My events are about meeting people and having fun. All ages are encouraged to come. Single, married, couples, widows, gay, straight, black, white and everything in between. Just be friendly and have the ability to socialize with relative normalcy.

If this is your first time attending a meetup, try not to worry too much. Around 80% of attendees are first timers so you won't be alone + we won't leave you alone. You will have a great time, I promise! =)
