Meet @ Broadway & Vesey St
Get 9-11 Memorial Tickets (from 20 Vesey st)
(Memorial Cost=Free, but need to get ticket)
Then visit Trinity Church
Then walk thru Wall St area
Then Enjoy a Drink With breathtaking Downtown
Skyline views on Staten Island Ferry
(Round-trip Ride is FREE, Beer is Available for Purchase on Ferry)
Then Explore Battery Park
Then visit 9-11 Memorial
Then AfterParty @ South Street Seaport!!!
(This Itinerary could obviously change depending on various factors)

I would take public transportation if I had other people to go with because I wouldn't know how to get there otherwise. Not familiar with subways. Anyone going with public transportation from the island?

If you drive, be careful where you park, to avoid a ticket. It's not always clear that spots are illegal down there, as I found out the hard way. Probably best to look up parking garages in the area ahead of time, at least as a backup if you can't find a spot on the street.
