5Rhythms® NYC, Saturday Afternoon Meetup

LOCATION: Gabrielle Roth's 5Rhythms ® Saturday afternoon class on 9/15/12 is held at the Rubin Museum of Art, 150 West 17th Street, south side of the street, between 6th and 7th Avenues, NY, NY 10011.
TIME: Class is from 1pm to 3pm -- meet under the circular staircase inside the museum at 1pm
Fee: $10 (museum admission -- email me for a bring-a-friend-free coupon, compliments of the Rubin)
This experience will focus on dancing with our body parts and being inspired by the shapes of the art we see. The Rubin contains a collection of religious art from the Himalayan mountain range and will provide rich backdrop for deepening our body part vocabulary.
Given that we will be moving through the museum among other people, the tone of our rhythm this afternoon will be STILLNESS. Please wear sneakers, and you also may want to bring your journal, a sketchpad and a pen.
Come to discover your body again. Come to practice being focused and clear. Come to let go of whatever you are holding onto from your week. Come to lighten up and dance with joy. Come to move with the peaceful inhale and exhale of your breath.
