Details

Linux as a multi-user OS, must keep user accounts securely separated from each other. This is achieved through elaborate permissions scheme, and ACLs. This presentation will look at ways to manage user permissions, and how to ensure ordinary users don't inadvertently gain root status.

Further, we will look at how to secure a system to prevent even root from being able to do damage without the system immediately alerting the sys admin.
