Are you
Sick of cooking & eating dinner alone?
Bored of watching fictitious tv characters "live" life?
Tired of seeing on Facebook & Twitter other people having fun?
Then join one of the many other groups on Meetup.
But seriously, this group differs in that anyone can help plan get-togethers.
I'm busy and can't participate, so do as you please, Wikipedia-style.
Many groups already exist with various activities/events.
However, mysteriously, not many go to comedy shows.
Why? Who knows?
If people lived in Montana, West Dakota, Arkansas, or elsewhere, then okay,
they have an excuse for spending every night on tv or the internets.
But for those in California, especially Orange County? C'mon.
Life is short and before everyone gets old and dies, why not laugh more?
Yes, the economy/recession, deficit, gov't/company budget cutbacks,
unemployment, Social Security, health care, etc.... are all depressing,
so who wouldn't benefit from a relaxing night of entertaining comedy?
Plus, most local improv shows are affordable: $5-10.
So have some good food, good conversation & a good time.
And who knows, maybe you might meet some cool people and make new friends.
If anyone is allergic to laughing, instead of comedy shows, consider:
Dancing
Karaoke
Live music
HH drinks/cocktails
Pub quiz/Trivia night
Trying new restaurants
No more lonely nights of The Bachelor, Jersey Shore, Grey's Anatomy,
American Idol, Real Housewives, porn, or whatever else people watch.
If anyone participates, please behave professionally & respectfully.
Everyone is an adult and is expected to treat others with common courtesy.
In other words: Guys, please be gentlemen.
Save any pick-up artist strategies for other prey/targets.
Exercise self-control & restraint. Be considerate & cordial with women.
Refrain from any inappropriate, depraved, disrespectful, aggressive, & bizarre behavior.
Thank you.
btw, this group is just for fun and will last until July.
And yes, I know West Dakota is not a state. :)
The group name is esoteric & is out of spite for a douche bag named Alex.
