General Meeting- Topic TBA, scheduled to occur on Tuesday, February 5,[masked]:30 PM has been cancelled. Please update your plans accordingly.
If you have further questions, you can email me through the Contact Us link on Meetup.
You may not be aware that our health is potentially being compromised by the ever increasing amounts of Radio Frequency radiation we are coming into contact with. Studies as well as personal experiences seem to point to mounting evidence that being subjected to what is called 'non-thermal' RF could very well be harmful to humans, animals, and even plant life. The FCC guidelines only protect us from Thermal Radiation, such as the waves used inside your microwave. They do not cover the "non-thermal" exposure that is constantly increasing.
We (citizens/consumers) have an opportunity to contact the FCC about concerns about the insufficient guidelines regarding the Radio Frequencies we are all subject to everywhere we go...like the RF from:
Wireless Computer Routers
Laptop Computers (especially while they are plugged in)
Broadband over Powerlines
We are all being constantly bathed in these invisible RF zones. The closer you are to them the heavier the exposure and the greater potential for negative health effects. Ex. You use your cell phone several hours a day (if you are like me!)placed next to your head (or have a bluetooth next to your head), you are sitting at your laptop for (8?) hours a day, sitting next to a wireless router etc...you get the idea.
There are many studies out that show there is much to be concerned about regarding their potential negative health affects, (immediate, and long range). Ranging from something as mundane as headaches, ear ringing, sleeplessness, to more serious issues such as our 'blood-brain' barrier being breached (this is our brain's first line of defense against unwelcome intrusion) which could cause changes in our DNA [I am not a scientist, and am going on my memory at this time from some of the findings I discovered while doing research on the subject!], or the possibility that these exposures could increase our risk of cancer.
To tell the FCC that you want them to keep consumers safe, and that they need to start developing guidelines for safety regarding our exposure to 'non-thermal/non-ionizing' forms of radiation, which they can base on current studies, or even commission some to be done. They are not holding up their responsibility to consumers, and that needs to change!
Go here to find out how to send the FCC your comments.
Deadline for public input on this particular 'Hearing' is Feb. 6, so HURRY- do it NOW!
