Signed into law on December 31st, 2011 by President Barack Obama, the 2012 National Defense Authorization Act allows the President to, at his discretion, order any person, including an American citizen, to be indefinitely detained without a charge or trial. PANDA is the largest movement in America pushing back, and four cities (Albany, NY, Emmett, ID, and Webster and Oxford, MA voted to prohibit the 2012 NDAA with PANDA's help).

A grassroots, nonpartisn, nonviolent organization, PANDA assists groups across the political spectrum united to prevent the laws of war from being used here in the US and on American citizens anywhere in the world.
