New Moon is on the 4th.
CalStar is a pure observing event, there's no services on site except porta potties, showers, and water, and the dark skies of southern Monterey County, in a dry protected bowl. We camp in an overflow area of Lake San Antonio South Shore facilities. No vendors, no public night, no green laser pointers :)
A perfect end-of-summer gathering.
