A Course in Miracles Support Group

***Taking place every 2nd & 4th Saturday of each month at 4:00 pm - 5:20 pm, at the Metropolitan Community Church, 2400 NE 24th Broadway**** I started A Course In Miracles (ACIM) group to create a space, in the central metro area of Portland, Oregon, for an egalitarian, participatory, deep exploration of the Course. This group involves personal sharing and supporting each other in understanding and practicing ACIM principles and teachings. The focus is on the ACIM forgiveness process. My perspective is aligned with Kenneth Wapnick’s presentation and interpretation of the Course (he was a friend to Helen Schucman and Bill Thetford, during the completion period of the Course, and helped with them with the editing of the three volumes). The best way I can summarize what this group is about, is to say that my emphasis is on the gentleness of the Course’s approach, as in this quote, “Forgive is still and does nothing…It merely looks, and waits and judges not.” All this is with an attitude of gentle kindness of heart. I do not consider myself any kind of “advanced” teacher. My desire is to share with others as an equal. My only qualifications are my love for ACIM and its process, my having read it through several times, and my having read many interpretations and given careful, intensive study of a great range of Course related materials, authors, books, talks, workshops, etc.. I invite and welcome those who are at least somewhat familiar with ACIM, who wish to deepen their understanding of its metaphysics, and learn to truly live its path in daily life.
