This group is for Active Parents of PreSchoolers and Babies who enjoy spending time outdoors in the Los Altos/Mountain View area. We are interested in community building and providing a way to get to know the neighbors you bump into at the park.
POPS will meet for playgroups, picnics, outings, coffee, walks, jogs, climbing, nights out, etc. We will rotate parks for playdates between 9a & 1:30p. Afternoon & weekend events may be added based on interest using the message board.
Local parks may include Grant, Mary Meade, Heritage Oaks, McKenzie, Shoup, Hillview, Cuesta, Varsity, Bubb, Eagle, Shoreline, Bol, Juana Briones, Las Palmas, Serra, Memorial, Oak Meadow, Rancho San Antonio.
Farther afield sites may include SF Zoo, Kelley Park (inc. Happy Hollow & Japanese Friendship), Coyote Point, SJ Children's Museum, the Jungle, SF Aquarium, PA Jr Museum, Rinconada Pool, Humboldt & Wunderlich Parks, Six Flags, Gilroy Gardens.
Other points of interest could include weekend running races, salsa dancing, potlucks, garage sales or swaps, Peets Coffee, Neto Cafe, Dana St. Cafe, Rancho Shopping Plaza, Nola's Restaurant, Planet Granite, Ikea, Gilroy Outlets.
