Auto Layout - Part Deux

Starting at 6:30pm, we'll have free food sponsored by Atomic Object. Please RSVP to help us estimate how much food we need. While you are enjoying the food, talk with other developers and network in the local Cocoa community.

Our main meeting will start at 7pm and will feature a talk on Auto Layout - Part Deux by Mike Woelmer of Atomic Object.

The first edition of Auto Layout could be considered a comedy or even a tragedy. With the updates in Xcode 5 and IOS 7, the sequel is bound to be a blockbuster hit (maybe). The fundamentals are the same, but the tooling has improved immensely. In this deeper dive into Auto Layout, we will look at some practical examples of how to make use of this powerful but sometimes frustrating layout system.

Mike Woelmer is a senior software consultant for Atomic Object, Ann Arbor. He has more than a decade of experience in the field working for both small companies, video game development, and global businesses. His current passion is in developing IOS applications.

I think I left a water bottle—1L blue Camelbak—in the room. Might someone check and let me know if there's a time I could drop by and get it?

Yes, you did. I left it in the hallway. The building is normally open from about 9am-6pm, and you can stop by anytime to get it.

I’m still not using Auto Layout because the app I’m working on requires iOS 5 (I know. Trust me, I know). Still, looking forward to seeing how Apple fixed it!
