Help Pack 2 Million Meals

If one of your 2014 Goals is to do more giving back to the community, here's a great opportunity.

Northridge Church in Plymouth is participating in an awesome and aggressive project: 10,000 volunteers needed to pack and ship 2 million meals over 3 days, Feb 14-16. They did this before, in 2011, and had 5,000 volunteers pack 1 million meals, so they're doubling down on their efforts for 2014.

Barring another Polar Vortex, or snowstorm, I'm going to go for a couple hours on the 14th, and you're invited to join me.

You know, networking is about more than meeting and exchanging business cards. Serving in this way gets us out of the coffee shop, into the community, and doing some good.

One of my goals for 2014 is to have more group networking/ community service events as a way to meet new people and build relationships.

You're invited to come, bring friends or business associates. Just RSVP, and based on the response, I'll figure out the logistics of our group participation. If you have questions, please let me know.

I hope to see you there!

Hi Tiffany: Yes, sorry we weren't able to connect there, but I'm happy you were able to participate. That was what it was all about anyway!

An outstanding experience. Northridgr Church recruited 10,000 Volunteers to pack and ship more than 2 million meals, over a 3 day period. There were 900 people for each 2 hour shift, and it was a model of efficiency. Really a great opportunity, a simple and easy gesture, and I was inspired and glad to be a part of it. Here's a link to news coverage of the event:

It turns out this event is more tightly organized than I thought, which is a good thing. They have specific time slots. I've signed us up for 12-2pm. More details will follow.
