Announcing a new Meetup for Alexandria-Arlington Regional Gaming Group!

2000 S Eads St. Apt. 516
Arlington, VA 22202

Last minute Meetup. Please note the time change to 7:30.

Hey folks. In order to fill the void while Dan Langsdale is on hiatus, I am going to host occasional Meetups on Thursday nights at my place. I won't be able to do this weekly, but hopefully it will give people a chance to play.

Q: You're not Dan.
A: That's not a question. And no, I'm not.

Q: What's the difference between your game nights and Dan's?
A: Nothing really. This is going to be a casual, low-commitment game night. In the spirit of Dan's, I am hoping that all types of boardgames will be played, although my game collection and my personal tastes tend to run towards Euros and more strategy-oriented games. Also, I'm starting an hour later. We'll try to wrap up by 11pm.

Q: What's in your game collection?
A: Glad you asked. You can find a link to my game collection here: http://boardgamegeek.com/collection/user/Rishi?own=1&subtype=boardgame&ff=1
If there's something specific you want to play from my collection, *PLEASE* mention it in your RSVP and I'll be sure to brush up on the rules.

Q: You own a lot of games. Should I bother to bring any?
A: Of course! More games are welcome. I only ask you to follow a couple guidelines: 1) Don't bring too many games. Bring a few games you really want to play, maybe two or three at most. 2) Be ready to teach the rules of any game you bring.

Q: Soup?
A: No soup for you! I'm hoping that with the later start time people will get a chance to eat beforehand. I may have some light snacks and feel free to bring dinner for yourself or snacks to share (nothing too messy - be respectful of the games!), but you're on your own.

Q: Okay, how do I get there?
A: The name of my building is Crystal House 2 and it's on the corner of 20th and Eads. The front entrance faces Fern Street, which is the best place to park. If you park in the resident lots, you may get towed but street parking (including at meters) is free on weeknights. The front desk will buzz you in. If they ask you to sign in, do so, but otherwise, I don't care. Apartment 516 is on the 5th Floor.

Q: Can I get there by Metro?
A: Yes! I live about two blocks from the Crystal City Metro, which is served by the Blue and Yellow lines.
