San Francisco: C++ Q&A and CppCon Recap

Details

This meeting is happening a week after the close of CppCon 2016. As we did for C++Now in May (https://www.meetup.com/SF-Bay-Area-Cpp/events/231056152/), we'll compose a panel of attendees who went to the conference, and ask them to give recaps of this year's most interesting or thought-provoking talks.

If you are attending CppCon and would like to share your experiences at our October 3rd meeting, please contact the organizers; we'll be glad to have you!

(Currently known panelists are Arthur O'Dwyer, Bryce Lelbach, Jackie Kay, and Marcus Ewert.)

We're also going to try something new this month: From 6:00 to 6:45, at the front of the room near the podium, we'll hold an informal "C++ Q&A Corner" and workshop for newcomers to the language and/or the meetup. If you're struggling with an error message, looking for a book recommendation, can't wrap your head around a concept, or whatever, come visit the Q&A Corner!

(For anyone not in the Q&A Corner, there will be refreshments and mingling as usual, while we wait for the panel at 6:45.)
