Lightning Talks

Details
This month we'll be presenting an evening of lightning talks. If you have been to previous Lightning Talk evenings, or the ACCU Conference, you'll be familiar with the format: a series of short talks from various members of the group.
Each talk will be ten minutes or less. Come along and enjoy a varied, fascinating evening! We have talks on test frameworks, motivation, hyper-threading and more. Our lightning talkers are:
• Grant Armstrong - How unit testing changed my code
• David Banks - What is a quality test suite?
• Jon Chesterfield - DIY test framework
• Perry Gollo - Motivation
• Dave Needham - Moving below the database with Event Sourcing
• Ed Nutting - FlingOS: Teaching students on their level
• Dominic Robinson - A little bit of Pluscal
• Steven Simpson - Mixing compiled and interpreted languages: Why and how with examples using Python and C++
• Dan Towner - Hyper-threading: making 2 plus 2 equal 3
