Welcome to ADD Resources (ADDR) ADHD Support and Information Groups

Finding Your Peers
If you think you have ADHD or are diagnosed with ADHD, don't go it alone. Just talking with like-minded others helps. An ADDR ADHD Support Group brings you together with others who face the problems of ADHD and who will share experiences and advice. You’ll have a chance to find yourself coping better and to feel less isolated. You’ll be among members of your own tribe, who think just like you.

What’s It Like
You attend an ADDR Support Group in person. Your group is facilitated by volunteers who are professionals in related fields or who have experience with ADHD and co-existing conditions. Members also offer practical advice and tips. The topics vary and the structure varies from an educational one with a presentation to one that emphasizes emotional support and shared experiences or both.

Participating in support groups helps you:
• Develop a clearer understanding of what to expect
• Get practical advice about treatment options
• Compare notes about resources (like doctors and alternative options)
• Talk openly and honestly about your feelings

You'll have a chance to leave:
• Feeling less lonely, isolated or judged
• With a sense of empowerment and control
• With improved coping skills
• With reduced distress, depression or anxiety

Our mission at ADD Resources is to help people with ADHD achieve their full potential through education, support and networking opportunities. Those who use our resources are typically intelligent and creative and often highly energetic.

ADD Resources is a nonprofit run by an executive director and adult volunteers with oversight by the Board of Directors. Our primary funding sources are grants, donations and memberships. Cynthia Hammer founded our organization in 1993.

We are independent and are able to provide authoritative, accurate and science-based information without conflicts. We believe in the power of direct human connection. Our donors and members come from all over the United States and some from foreign countries.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
