The only store-bought game that I’ve actually played is Earthdawn, of FASA fame. Otherwise it’s been badly mangled versions of Gamma World & Marvel RPG (for which we did not have the actual books) and homebrews. As for DnD, I don't have much interest in 4th ed, but I'd be willing to play most anything with fun people.
Decatur. I'd drive 30 minutes or so at the outside.
Weekends, either here during kid's naps or late evenings once they are in bed.
My sister had a copy of the GM book for ADnD - but not the player's guide. She tried to make it happen, but was too anal to run a game with half the rules. At other times my brother, myself and friends played gamma world with half the rules and marvel rpg with half the rules. I bought Earthdawn books when I came of age and ran several games using that world and system (more or less). I like some action, but really enjoy doing characters. One without the other doesn't interest me. It is very important to enjoy spending time with the people you game with.
I'd run Earthdawn or short marvel games and I'd play in anything.
Mark. Art teacher, father. Old, old old. I like Earthdawn. I'll play anything with fun people, but I'm more into acting and role-play than the numbers of the games.
