What are the problems that every game developer has?

At this point they've almost become a cliche: Acquisition, Retention and Monetization. Every game developer from the solo indie to the mammoth public company needs more players, to keep those players, and to monetize those players. There are literally hundreds of companies that are founded to help developers address these challenges in one way or another.

So why is it still so hard? I believe it's an education problem, and I've founded this group to try and tackle that problem one meetup at a time.

The goal of this meetup is to provide high quality speakers that educate developers on the topics of Acquisition, Retention, and Monetization, rotating topics monthly. Every presentation will be vetted by me to make sure it's not a sales pitch in disguise, as I'm sure you've seen at other events. And as usual, each event will include networking time, where you can discuss your challenges with other developers and catch up with old friends :)

If you have questions or comments, contact me at tyler@dty.me, and I look forward to seeing you at the events!

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
