I just changed the name of this group from "Deaf and Hard of Hearing of East County Meetup" to "ASL, Deaf and Hard of Hearing Meetup" (see discussion board for further explanation). However, our goal remains the same!

Meet locally with others who share your interest in bridging the gap between the Deaf and hearing communities. This group is open to all levels of signers; Deaf, hard of hearing, ASL students and those who wish to learn.

I've taken over this group to keep it going for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing community. I am an ASL IV student and enjoy being able to communicate thru sign. For me sign language is one of the most beautiful languages.

I look forward to hosting this meet-up and hope that those who attend will give their input as how to make this a better experience for everyone involved.

Because I still attend college, I'd like an assistant organizer, so if you're interested, please let me know.
