What we’re about

This group is for those who want to communicate in ASL. All levels are welcome! We offer events from ASL student practices to coffee chats with our Deaf community. We have a range of other events (captioned/subtitled films, interpreted plays, meet & greet dinners, Deaf club events and other Deaf accessible entertainment) that provide a place for us to meet together and sign with one another.

Our events are held in various locations across the capital region so we hope you find something in your neighborhood or will travel to participate. We love to know about new, relevant events so be sure to keep us posted if we miss something.

Also be sure to thoroughly check out our website to familiarize yourself with the group. Become an active participant in our message board discussions and resource pages which you can find by clicking around/exploring our heading bar near the top of our site.

So welcome to the group, sign up and come on out to your first event for some signing fun! Spread the word to others - We love to sign, so the more the merrier!

Hope to see you at an event soon!

From the Founder: "I have decided to start this group because I love ASL. I have taken a couple courses, but sadly don't remember much. I would like to start getting involved with people who use the language on a regular basis. I would love to eventually become a certified interperter. This group is intended for people of all levels and abilities. I am hoping it would be a learning experience for all."
