ASTD Alaska Chapter is based in Anchorage as a chapter of the American Society for Training & Development (ASTD). ASTD Alaska serves members living throughout this large, geographically challenging state, using electronic communications to overcome distance & travel expense. The Alaska Chapter was formed in 1995 & remains a key resource to trainers & educators in adult learning settings.

In recent years, ASTD has widened the profession’s focus to link learning & performance to individual & organizational results, & is a sought-after voice on critical public policy issues. ASTD’s mission & vision are built on professional ethics & purposes that are global, oriented toward excellence & positive change.
